Softly Indulged ❀️

I like the notion of having a “childlike tastebud.” A person ages, but the memory of sugar melting inside his mouth does not.

So today, I am grateful for a soft pleasure – to indulge myself with a cone of ice cream from a convenient store.

Maybe life is all about small-sized indulgence. You’re biting, slowly, until you realized you’re full.

Summer Fun at Pangasinan XPo Part Iβ˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

Hello there! It’s official: summer in PH is here! And when the heat is blazing, you know what it means, too: the Province of Pangasinan has to celebrate the annual Pista’y Dayat (Feast of the Sea). Ha-Ha! Pardon me for my translation.

Pangasinan Tourism and Trade Expo is a part of the annual Pista’y Dayat celebration, situated near beachfront, Lingayen, Pangasinan – the capital of the province.

Colorful food carts and landscape entries align the hallways; banners and light bulbs complement the theme; and bougainvilleas in mixed tones complete this set.

If you are looking for a copacetic place to dine in or just stop-by, consider ‘Pangasinan Expo’ as one of your choices. You can find lots of mementos here, I am telling you.

Anyway, I’ll be posting the second set of photos on my next blog. Stay posted! 🌈

Thanks for dropping by!

Elf-ing and Eat-ing

I have been frequently having “late uploads” everywhere. Reason? Well, planned activities are unpredictable. Things have to fall to the right timing to play their perfect rhythm.

Tonight’s blog mirrors a sudden, unplanned date with my Law buddy, Ate Raquel. She had to meet me for a footwear, yes. And since it was Christmas, of course, police officers enjoyed their pay, too! This was a share of the blessing. 😁😜😝

Tartan CafΓ© is located at Brgy. Poblacion, Binmaley, Pangasinan. It’s a solitary place to catch up with your distant friends, HS and college buddies!

There’s an array of choices from hot to cold drinks.

I like how this photo depicted a frosty atmosphere outside, when, in fact, it wasn’t.

Throw pillows. If you plan to get serious with your “chika” and you accidentally hit your buddy.

Hey there, Elf!

My first slice of caarrot cake, I supposed.

Nachos at Tartan CafΓ© is crunchy and tasty!

Green Macha Frappe.

The flatlay of our orders.

During our stay, we talked most of how we were braving Wills and Succession. 😫😱

It didn’t show but we relinquished this moment of spending time together without Law matters clouding up our minds.

We stated for two (2) hours or so.

The Sweet Police Officer who does not give a second thought to cosmetics or selfies! I love you, Ate! Thank you for being my confidantΓ© in this oh-so-ruthless-and-deceiving-world! πŸ˜˜πŸ‘―

More posts, soon.

Don’t MESH with us!

Long gone is the norm that elder siblings are in charge of expenses. Nowadays, age is just a number. The gift of giving belongs to anyone.

What happens when a sibling passes a national exam?

Mesh room is a resto-cafe along Tapuac road, Dagupan City, Pangasinan. Since it is located along the highway, you can perfectly pull off from a long drive to catch up few breaths, sip a drink of your choice, and munch on the perfect combo of side-dishes or desserts.

Anyway, this is (again) my sister, picking our orders. It’s her treat so she gotta choose everything to celebrate her passing the exam! πŸ˜€

From the word “mesh” itself, it’s a snug place with mesh around.

Processed with VSCO with a10 presetOf course, please don’t MESH with us! :p

I brought along two novels for the two of us. ‘Heard you’d have to tag along and stay for a while due to the large amount of their servings. There are times when good novels are all that you need. BTW, this one by Claudia Gray would take you to different dimensions, you have to be conscious all throughout your journey.First batch of our orders: S’MORES. You can have this at PHP 115.00. Price ain’t so bad, eh?Then, again, it’s my first time to drown myself with an overload of this goodie! Thank you, Sissy!CHICKEN SKIN at PHP 50.00. This would the perfect partner for ice-cold drinks. However, we decided not to order a drink anymore since we are taking digestion, slowly and surely. Perhaps, plain water would suffice.Call me a snob, but you should always include FRIES in our bucket list. You can have this at PHP 70.00. Guilty as charged, fries are among my favorite food! Their fries come in plain, potein, etc. TACOS. I already forgot how much these cost. But you should try them, too! There are variety of choices from beef to chicken, etc.Flat-lay version of our meal. Hello! πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰Leftovers. I always feel bad when there are leftovers so I try my best to consume them all. Her novel. Bow.Set of decors that you can purchase from the cafe. Let the photo shoot begin!

Thanks for dropping by! I’m looking forward to more time of blogging. Thank you, too, Sissy! Congratulations! πŸ™‚

An “Olympus” Getaway

You might be asking why I named the title, “Olympus.”Β The answer is just so simple: we used an Olympus camera for taking the photos here. (Silly, eh?)

As you can see at the photo captions, they were taken on May 19, 2012 – they day in which I was supposed to be sponsoring to my friend, Angelica Joy’s debut. I was baffling, then, when I learned that we’ll be going here to attend another birthday party. For that, sorry, Angelica. 😦

With my sister and my cousins, I had fun! There were so many photographs, still, that I would share soon.

Photos by: TJ Ynzon, Shiella Mae De Guzman, Triny Ynzon and yours truly, Samantha De Guzman.

(But the most were photographed by Mr. Pogi, TJ Ynzon.)

Photos taken at: Lohas Hotel – Β New Well Being Spa Resort in Clark, Pampanga

I bet the suite was a Korean Hotel. If you know how to read what’s on my left and right side, then it was.
The two “Pisceans,” Shiella and TJ.
This is Ate Triny. (Every time we enter the hotel, we never forget to take a photo of us at the doorway.)
TJ, can you help me read that? Look, Ate Triny will always be on the background. (Was that a mandatory for her?)
“Pathway to Heaven.” I really love the hotel’s ambiance! Even the light colors complement the place.
You just see Shiella’s look here. It’s like, “Ate, come on! No more changing of suits. Let’s jump and swim!” (Peace, sis!)
“Grabeeeeeh.” This, I think, was our first expression when we got a view of this. It’s on the center of the suites.
All right. I take account of what I said earlier. Forgive me, the look on my face was a blithe, too.
At the hotel’s resto. It was overwhelming to know that we were the first ones to arrive here and nobody’s eating aside from us.
SMILE and conquer the resto!
This was a Korean suite but I didn’t know that before we ordered here. Ha-Ha.

The menus look inviting, don’t they?

Have you ever been tied up to that Cafeteria Mia menu, Shiella?
The most impressive “strawberry shake” I saw in my whole life!
“SWEET & SPICY CHICKEN.” One thing I loved most about the hotel’s resto was that, their servings were king-sized! And that was an individual order, for goodness’ sake! I still remember it when I was already full after eating 3pcs.
P.S. We didn’t know that there were fries included in every order! Bonus!Β
These two Pisceans look like “balikbayans.” Mafeeling! Ha-HaΒ
That calamansi juice I was holding there was actually from the resto. We asked the crews if I can brought it with me at the hotel room.Β
Here’s the story behind this blurry photo: The chefs and crews were all looking and smiling at us here while we were taking photos…that sort of freaked us out!Β
One last shot before we enter the hotel…
Hooooray! After a tiring day comes a relaxing view. Hmmn…why I am taking photos of these two? I, too, must be taking a rest now.
“Click clack away.”
“My adorable sister, Shiella.” Beauty is fierce. It is up to us how we give people the perception of what we got.
Of course we are tired. We really are!
The Big Bang smile and The Big White Remote Control.Β
“The Golden Chandelier.” TJ accidentally took this while he was wandering around and looking at the ceiling. The luminous effect is magnificent! (unedited photo)
Another shot of “The Golden Chandelier” by TJ Ynzon. I told you, he’s a good photographer!Β
“Mirror, mirror on the wall. If you stop looking at me when I take photos, I’d better give a bet to you.”
Spot the “GHOST!”
I am “SAMthing Extraordinary!”
The “3 Marias.”
At the birthday event. Look at the balloons at the ceiling! Black, yellow and gray was the motif! You can take a grip and pop those balloons – they have prizes. But dang, I already popped 3 balloons and killed the audience’ eyes, WALL A PA REIGN. Gets? Ha-HaΒ
Going back to the hotel room. We bought Mogu Mogu drinks for the evening!

These would be all for now. And as what I have promised, I would be posting more photos of us in our “Olympus” getaway soon. Pardon me for the early publishing of this post, yesterday. There was an Internet connection problem so I didn’t finish the post. Thanks to the autosave button, though. It was a big help!

P.S. Thank you for the continuous likes! Welcome to my new followers. =) Have a splendid day to all!

“Catch-A-Va” (CASSAVA Cakes Freshly Pressed)

Carbohydrates are “energy-providers.” They sustain our body the energy we needed most in performing daily activities. Cassava, or commercially known as tapioca, is a good source of carbohydrates. It has the biggest amount of starch among root crops like sweet potato, white potato, goayam and purple yam, with almost 34 percent k/cal.

And to make cassavas even more tasty and advancing, cassava cakes are wisecracks! They are perfect for snacks in mid-afternoon or in any time of the day!

Thanks, mom, for these delightful, little cakes.
“Bite with me.” I am lovin’ the layers shown here.
Cassava from the HEART!

I suggest Cassava Cakes as part of your snacks, daily. If you are a cook and you want to make your own cakes, then that’s better! Just don’t forget to share them with me, please. Ha-Ha.

That would be all. Happy “Catch-A-Va” day to you!
